  • Does the application need to be completely specified?
    Before outsourcing the development to the team in Pakistan, the application need to be correctly specified.

    However, in the case that specification does not exist or is not complete, our local managers will be happy to assist you during the phase of analysis, technical design and specification.

  • Fixed Price or Time & Material?
    MaqronŽ Interactive supports both contract methods.

    Each method has its pro's and con's:
    Fixed contracts have the advantage for customer that he can determine exactly his budget in advance.

    At the other hand, as the specification document will has a contractual value and describes the deliverables of the project, customer will need to put more effort into the complete specification of the document. Moreover, fixed price contracts tend to be less flexible for managing changes: requirements changes, occurring during the development process, will cause a renegotiation of the contract.

    Time and Material contracts offer very high degree of flexibility, but at the other hand will can result in a less controlled budget.

    Time and Material Contracts on a yearly renewable basis, allow customers to have their fixed offshore team, creating a real offshore competence centre for business automation.

    In general terms, customers tend to start outsourcing development in fixed price contracts. Later on, once mutual confidence and understanding has grown, customers tend to choose for the flexibility of time and material contracts.

  • How can a customer follow up his project?
    In MaqronŽ Interactive concept, a customer will have regular on site meetings with the local project manager, discussing project status and other relevant project information. On a very regular basis, code samples and or executables will be sent over for testing and evaluation purposes.

    On top of these face to face meetings, customer can also monitor project progress using an on-line web application for project management. This application provides information about hours spent on each project task, that can be used afterwards for invoicing.

    An issue management application, registers each issue and monitors its evolution until complete resolution.
